My Darling Nico,

You came to me 14 years ago when my entire world was falling apart.

Your sheer presence and gentle licks nursed me back to sanity and reassured me that I was loved and that I was enough.

Nico, my Precious Precious Soul Mate, it did not end there.

We traveled all around the world together, and experienced so many delicious restaurants, bars, countries and parties….and you were faithfully on my lap reminding me that I was never alone.

There have been countless great times and celebrations and there have been terrible losses during the 14 years.

My divorce, my Father’s death, Family conflicts, Lovers coming and going, Financial challenges and their Ups and Downs, and subsequently several of our Furry sisters and brothers who joined our Family after you crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

And yet you, were always by my side when I cried at night even though you were going through your own emotions.

You have watched me struggle with my work and then thrive, you have never left my side during my cancer treatments and you certainly have never judged me while I struggled with anxiety and at times depression.

My Darling Nico, I look at you and I cannot help but clutch my heart at the thought of you not being with me on this Planet.

You have taught me SO many valuable lessons.

Patience, Kindness, Living in the Moment, and Forgiveness.

But most of all my Darling Angel, you have taught me to love myself UNCONDITIONALLY.

You have shown me what it’s like to just BE and just LOVE.

I am practicing this as much as I can with you by my side.

Nico, I want you to know that I will be FINE.

Do not worry about me.

Your lessons and your time with me have a purpose and you have accomplished them.

Do not worry about me….because whatever Life will bring to me….I have GOT THIS.

You have taught me well my Precious Gift of Life.

So let us enjoy our remaining years….Spending Loving days together and Living in the Moment.
