Dear Jack,
I am finding my boy’s passing very difficult, my boy was fit in every way. Then one horrible Monday morning, he started walking around in circles. It was as if he didn't know where he was. The vet confirmed that he had Dementia. They told me that even though my baby was not suffering, he could live up to another 6 months the way he was. They didn't think it would be fair to my boy because then the pain and suffering would have started. I had to think of my handsome baby, and not keep him alive for my own selfish reasons. So there and then, he went peacefully in his sleep in my arms.
You gave your boy the greatest gift. Do you know how wonderful this is? The dementia, well think of it this way: he did not seem to know where he was at those moments because he was being given previews of Heaven until he wasn't sure if he was here or if he was there. That's kind of how dementia works. It is a Bridge too, but it can be a difficult one to travel when you are still earthbound. He is free and clear and living in the Land of Love now where he waits for you to learn all the lessons you, too, need to learn on earth before you meet again. Keep the faith and know that he is never far from you, Only Gone from Your Sight. Thank you for loving him and letting him go.
Love, Jack
