Nandi’s Happy Homecoming Routine – A Dog’s Pure Love

Nandi is 14 months old , with her favourite ball, every time , I open the door and she comes outside to greet me , then we go in and she’s bouncing off the furniture until I sit and she can sit on my lap.

I never wanted the dog but was talked into it. So all the plans were put in place . She would be crate trained ( didn’t last a day ) or we would close of part of the room ( didn’t last the night) . Now she sleeps where she wants , gets ME , not mom at least 3 times a night for toilet breaks or just a bit of fresh air . Her day goes like this , wake dad at 5;00 by sitting on his head and licking his face until he gets up . Watch him get breakfast and fresh water ( which I ignore) and a few treats. Have a nap on mom’s lap . Go for a walk ( where I want to, chose crossing places , sit for treats ) come home do zoomies then get a couple of ice cubes. Sit on dads chair while does bits and pieces of. Wait until he’s ready with a cool mat and doze on his lap.

Man happily holding a small black puppy, embodying Nandi's Happy Homecoming Routine.

When I’m ready we play chase the ball ( green ones my favourite) or maybe tug , possibly a bit of fighting. Then doze again until mom comes home. Bounce about in greeting, then another walk . More play , zooming and ice cubes , a bit more rest until I decide to play again, maybe a bit of food if I’m in the mood
