Meet our senior rescue grandpa dan! Dan like most senior pets are the least likely to be adopted from humane society's due to age and health conditions. After hearing and seeing how long these pets stay in shelters and some pass away at the shelter, we decided that we don't want the you cute little dog or kitten, we want the old, the sick, the special needs and mostly the ones that probably won't get another chance at life outside the shelter.
Then on a Facebook page from our nearest shelter, there he was, big cut on his side, malnourished and partially blind... we knew Noone would want him at 13 years old and clinging to life. So we messaged them and said we would give him a forever home, no matter how long or short it may be.
Dan was almost completely shaved to unveil his wounds. We picked him up and told him he's going to his for ever home. He had to wear a t shirt for a while till his hair grew back, after a few months he looked like a new cat again. He started putting on weight and even developed a bit of a attitude lol. He now is pretty much completely blind, but still manages to get around just fine. He sleeps in his own little crib, and gets his prescription food everyday. He's come a long way In the past few months and we love him like we have had him since he was young. He will live out his remaining days on our farm, warm, well fed and loved.
