For our first-ever Pawrent Spotlight, we are so excited to introduce Geneviève, Carla and their adorable chiweenie, Chico (on Instragram as @chico.thechiweenie) ❤️
G&C: Chico is a 1.5 year old chiweenie (chihuahua x dachshund) with two moms who love him very much. We live in Montreal, in the province of Quebec, Canada – home of Céline Dion, poutine, and snowy winters!
G&C: My partner and I adopted him in May 2021, after he was surrendered by his previous owners. We were finally ready to welcome a little dog into our family, and we were lucky enough to find this sweet pup who needed a new loving home.
G&C: Chico loooves to sleep in! He'll spend most of the mornings in bed or on the couch. After lunch, we play in the backyard, and at night we go for a walk and work on his socialization.
G&C: Discovering new places together. Whether it's a walk in nature, lunch at a pup-friendly patio, or a road trip, there are so many possibilities.
G&C: When I saw him walk for the first time. He has such a funny way of walking – it makes everyone smile on the street!
G&C: Take full advantage of your puppy's socialization period. Chico was not properly socialized as a puppy, and we are now working extra hard on building up his confidence and ability to make friends with other dogs. Socialization is crucial if you want your dog to have a happy life!
